This is a condition in which the tibial nerve or its branches are compressed in the area of the inner ankle ankle tunnel. It most commonly manifests as a burning, tingling, or stabbing pain in the foot, which may spread to the toes or heel and be accompanied by numbness. Symptoms often worsen with prolonged standing, walking, or after strenuous physical activity.
