Morton’s neuroma

This is a pain syndrome affecting the front of the foot that results from thickening and irritation of the intermetatarsal nerve, most commonly between the third and fourth metatarsals. Symptoms include a burning pain, numbness, or tingling in the toes, which worsens when wearing tight shoes, standing, or walking. Risk factors include improper footwear, foot deformities, and overuse.
