This is a condition affecting the nerve bundle in the shoulder area, which can cause pain in the arm or shoulder, numbness, sensory disturbances, or weakness in the arm muscles. It is most commonly associated with trauma, severe strain, surgery, or, in rarer cases, inflammatory or oncologicaldiseases. The pain may be burning, stabbing, or feel like an electric shock.
